What is RMI2009?

RMI2009 is a symposium organized by Rocky Mountain Institute®. It will bring together top leaders of business, energy, and security to discuss the most challenging questions of our time. With lively debate, plenary and breakout sessions, and workshops, the two day symposium will explore effective opportunities in achieving economic growth for an era free of fossil fuels.

Rocky Mountain Institute® (RMI®) is an independent, entrepreneurial, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. RMI drives the efficient and restorative use of resources to create a world that is thriving, verdant, and secure, for all, for ever.  RMI’s research and consulting staff works with businesses, communities, and organizations around the world in three interconnected practices: the built environment, energy and resources, mobility and vehicle efficiency. Where is conference being held?

The conference will be held at the Westin San Francisco Market Street in San Francisco California, October 1st – 3rd, 2009.

May I request a refund if I change my mind about attending?

Unfortunately, we are unable to grant refunds. All registration fees are due upon registration and are non-refundable.

Where should I reserve a room?

The Westin San Francisco Market Street is offering a special discounted room rate of $199.00 plus 15.565% tax per room per night. Call the reservations department at 888-627-8561 and mention RMI2009 to book your room. Please make reservations prior to September 9, 2009 to receive this rate.

How should I plan my travel to and from the airport?

A variety of travel options are listed on the Westin Hotel website.

Will meals be provided for the event?

We will be providing a continental breakfast each morning of the symposium. In addition, lunch will be provided during our plenary sessions on Friday and Saturday. Finally, we will close with a farewell cocktail reception Saturday afternoon.

A private dinner will be held for RMI’s Board of Trustees and members of RMI’s National Solutions Council on Thursday evening. For information on joining the National Solutions Council, please visit www.rmi.org/nsc.
